A Few Words

About

The Hugh James Foundation was established out of the Hugh James High Achiever Scholarship Award, an initiative created to recognize and support outstanding students of Cornwall Mountain Primary & Infant School in Westmoreland, Jamaica.

What began as a mission to uplift students through education has grown into a broader commitment to the people of Westmoreland, providing relief, resources, and opportunities that strengthen the community. Guided by compassion and service, the Foundation remains dedicated to improving lives and standing by families in times of need.

How We're Helping Our Community

Door-to-Door Outreach

Our team visits every home delivering essential supplies to families, the elderly, and those who cannot travel to drop-off points. We ensure no one is overlooked.

Emergency Care Packages

Each family receives a customized care package with food, water, medical supplies, and household essentials based on their specific needs and household size.

Vulnerable Population Focus

We prioritize seniors, families with young children, people with disabilities, and those living in the most affected areas, providing extra support where it’s needed most.

Multiple Connection Points

We’ve established convenient drop-off locations throughout Cornwall Mountain, making it easy for community members to access supplies or contribute donations.
